Pick of the day #52: Dundee FC – Celtic FC

December 26, 2012

Dundee Fotballclub host Celtic tonight in a game that should result in an easy away win. Dundee are placed bottom in the Scottish Premier League with 3-3-12 (12-35 in goals). At home they have 2-0-6 (7-16). They have one win (at home to Hibernian), one draw (away to Ross County) and three losses in their five recent games. Today they have midfielder Iain Davidson out. He has started all 18 games in the league this season.

Celtic top the league with 11-4-3 (37-14). Away from home they have 6-2-1 (24-8). They have four wins and one loss in their last five games. The loss was at home to Iverness (0-1) more than a month ago when they had games in Champions League to care about.

The two teams have played each other once this season. Celtic won by 2-0 at home in a game in September. I believe that Celtic perform better at the moment and believe that they will win with more than two goals tonight, despite playing away. The difference in quality is huge. I go for the Asian Handicap bet with 2-0 pre game.

Players out tonight:

Dundee FC: Davidson (M. 18+0 apps) Milne (Fw. 7+3 apps) , Finnigan (Fw. 0 apps), Kerr (M. 5 apps), Easton (D. 2 apps), McCluskey (M. 0 apps), Grassi (D. 6 apps), Toshney (D. 3+3 apps)
Celtic FC: Matthews (M. 3+1 apps), Commons (M. 4+2 apps), Ledley (M. 3+2 apps), Stokes (Fw. 0 apps)
