Pick of the day #38: Maccabi Tel Aviv – Beitar Jerusalem

March 10, 2013

Very bad form with my picks on the blog at the moment. Today I go for a team that have helped me earlier this season.

Maccabi Tel Aviv have done incredibly well at home in the league. Their home stats read 11-0-1 (37-7)! Beitar Jerusalem, on the other hand, will miss the final round in the league that starts next week.

A straight home victory for Maccabi is payed around 1.50, which I think is decent. Beitar defeated Maccabi in the cup just a couple of weeks ago, and I believe that the prices for Maccabi are slightly overpriced because of that result. I believe that the result was the best thing that could happen for my bet though. Maccabi Tel Aviv will not tolerate another bad result against Beitar and will do everything they can to win today.

Maccabi come to the game with a full squad and according to my reports they are confident and have a strong will to win. In the league they have six straight victories.

Despite their win against Maccabi in the cup, Beitar have shown a weak form lately. They have no win in their last six games. Their away stats in the league read 4-6-3 (19-16).

I play safe here and stick to the straight bet and hope that it will help me back to a winning streak.

I have also placed two units on Tottenham today. The prices for Spurs are incredibly high in my opinion. I have 1.5 units on Tottenham +0.25 (Asian) at 2.46 and 0.5 units on Tottenham over 2.5 goal at 8.00.
