Pick of the day #3: Brann – Lilleström

October 28, 2012

Two winning picks so far, let us hope the luck continues.

Brann will host Lilleström in Norwegian Tippeligaen and I reckon they have a good chance of winning. Brann have been fantastic at home this season with ten wins, one draw, and two losses. They have scored 34 goals in total – making 2.62 in average per game – and conceded 15. They have nine(!) consecutive wins at home in the league. The Brann players have shown great moral and stamina with eight goals after minute 81 in their last six games.

Lilleström have taken more points away from home than in their home stadium. They have four wins, four draws, and five losses. In the fourteen games they have scored 18 goals and conceded 25. At the game tomorrow they will miss their skipper Frode Kippe due to familial affairs.

Despite Lilleström’s strong away records I think Brann’s strength at home will provide them the victory.

My original thought was to go for Brann over 1.5 goals, but the odds is too low so I go for a straight win which is around at slightly above 1.60. I would have put something like 1.40-1.45.

Game: Brann – Lilleström

Bet: Brann win

Odds: 1.65 (Unibet)

Value: 6/10 units

Result: 2-3. -6 units. (Brann had 2-1 but couldn’t finish it up. Should have taken O1.5 goals…)

Units in total: +2.90

Total wins-voids-losses: 2-0-1
